Want to save money while exploring Zanzibar? Skip the expensive taxi and ride like a local using the Daladala.
- Step 1: Head to the Darajani Market bus station in Stone Town.
- Step 2: Board Daladala No. 309 or 310 (heading towards Paje or Jambiani).
- Step 3: The fare is only about 2,000 TZS per person. Keep small bills ready.
- Step 4: Tell the conductor “Nishushe Jozani, tafadhali” (Drop me at Jozani, please). The bus stops right at the main park entrance. It is a fun, 1-hour authentic experience!
